It's time to bring our understanding of MENOPAUSE out of the dark ages.

Stelleri Performance Training coaches are focused on helping Masters Women athletes achieve and maintain their highest athletic potential. We keep up on the latest science addressing how aging affects athletic performance, particularly among women.

As you probably know, there isn't a whole lot of information out there addressing the issues that we will all face as we get older.
In fact, it seems that nobody wants to talk about menopause, at all. It's hard to find any reliable information, as if the subject itself is off limits or taboo. I guess it's because only half of the entire population of the world since the beginning of time is affected by it! But I digress...

Having experienced menopause firsthand, I am here to tell you something that you should know (if you haven't figured it out already):
Menopause changes your athletic capabilities.

As you go through The Change, you may experience, at some point, any of the following:

  • Hot flashes
  • Sleep disturbances
  • Excessive tiredness
  • Lack of motivation
  • Susceptibility to injury
  • Inability to hydrate or fuel for events or training
  • Sudden sensitivity to certain foods, such as carbs
  • Diminished muscle mass and strength

I'm sure there are other effects of menopause that may completely blindside you - because nobody warns you about them!

We here at Stelleri Performance Training are hoping to change all that. We're working on a series of short surveys, all of which will be posted here, that will help us collect data from masters women athletes like you, and learn, from our community about how we can maintain our athletic potential as we age up.  We hope to learn many things from these surveys,  and share our results and findings with you as we move this forward.
